.After 23 years in Victoria and now 1.5 years in Duncan as a consultant he has raised millions of dollars for local projects in land development, franchising, technology and the environment.
After studying 71 Ghost Towns on Vancouver Island for three years including Bamberton, Johnson recognized the vital necessity for clean green industry for struggling coastal communities and thus began his quest for the local Hemp Industry…. Twenty five thousand product and a carbohydrate economy.
By founding a Hemp Farmers’ Co-op, raising $1Million, forming a BC Venture Capital Corporation and now a limited partnership the seed press mill at Lake Cowichan is the first of 10 mills being built to help save the family farm while providing local clean, green jobs for Vancouver Island towns using the most useful crop available: Industrial Hemp! Instead of being “hewers of wood & drawers of water", Johnson sees a silver lining in economically challenged coastal towns north of Victoria.
